I’m sorry I was a bit distracted by how much Cornel Wilde resembles an animatronic.

Anyway queen mother of the delulu like damn girl is the d that good??? she served cunt every second tho.

Ellen did nothing wrong.

nothing is ever wrong with ellen

Embracing The Dark Girlboss interpretation of this film can be fun, but ultimately this movie just makes me sad!

In the scene at the exact center of the film - and the root of violence that follows - Richard asks Ellen, "What happened to you?"

Or rather, what happened to the version of you I liked before? Why are you ruining things with your feelings? Why can't you be happy?

Diabolical costuming of Ellen/Ruth as white garments interchange between them. The final scene of Ruth and Richard silhouetted against the sky, paralleling him and Ellen in the desert. Chilling, uncanny repetition.
